About this forum
Luxury SUV Owners Forum opened in October 2025 for people who own the expensive family trucks and are tired of asking questions in general car boards where the answer is always "sell it and buy a Tacoma." Lexus GX and RX, BMW X5, Audi Q7, Cadillac Escalade, Range Rover, and whatever else lands in that price bracket. Most of us are in Minnesota, the Dakotas, Wisconsin and Iowa, so winter comes up a lot.
The forum is run by Rachel D., who spent nine years as a service advisor at a Lexus store in the Twin Cities before moving to Alexandria, Minnesota, where she now helps run a family detail and paint protection shop. She posts as mod_rachel_d, reads the contact address herself, and is honest about being slow with it on Saturdays in summer.
How it is paid for
House rules
- Year, trim and mileage in every question. A 2016 X5 and a 2022 X5 share a badge and not much else.
- Buying threads carry numbers. What you paid, what the dealer wanted, what the tax was. A report with no price gets a mod note asking for one.
- Nothing is for sale here. There is no classifieds board and there will not be one. Linking a public listing inside a discussion is fine.
- If you work for a dealer, an auction, a warranty company or a lender, say so under your name. Posting as a regular owner while you sell the thing being discussed gets the account closed.
- Mods can move, merge or lock threads and will say why in the thread.
- Registration is by request until the spam settles down. Ask through the contact page.
What this is not
Not a dealer, not a warranty company, not a substitute for the repair manual for your VIN. Members here include a couple of techs and a remarketing manager, and they are generous with what they know, but check any number against the book and your own dealer before you spend money on it.
