2022 X5 xDrive40i M Sport, so it came on the staggered 21s, 275/40R21 up front and 315/35R21 in the back, on Pirelli P Zero summer tires. first winter with it and i live on the hillside in Duluth, which if you have not been here means the street to my house is a ski hill from december to march. the summer tires are obviously not staying on.
option one is winter tires in the factory sizes. the 315/35R21 is a weird size and the only real winters i can find in it are the Pirelli Scorpion Winter and the Michelin Pilot Alpin, about 1,900 to 2,100 for four, mounted on the factory wheels, so i am swapping tires twice a year at a shop. option two is a square set of 19 inch wheels, 265/50R19 all around, with something like Blizzak DM-V2, and swapping wheels in my garage. the wheel package is closer to 2,500 to 2,800 with sensors.
what are the X5 people doing, and does the staggered setup actually matter in snow or is that a track thing.
